    jennthemusical: Every time I see this picture on Netflix, I always think it’s Kurt Russell. Am I crazy, or does anybody else see it? You’re not alone. I see it. And now I’m starting to think early Jeff Bridges and Kurt Russell look alike… possibly also with Patrick Swayze (God rest his soul).

    Scottish band recommendations, from people in the know (or at least the country).

    This post is primarily aimed at jennthemusical, because she asked me to recommend some Scottish bands. I flung out a few suggestions, and then appealed to my (far more musically cool and aware) friends to also recommend a few.

    However, I think it’s turned out quite a good list. So, if you’re looking for some new music, there are a few crackers on here.

    Hmmmm, id go forTeenage Fanclub, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Idlewild (but not the last album) The BMX Bandits and Vague Space! Ok so the last one is kind of cheating cause it’s my band and we aren’t signed but you can find us on Spotify :)

    I’d say Camera Obscura, Orange Juice, The Delgados, Arab Strap, Monica Queen, Bis, The Pastels and my mates band Mitchell Museum. Also Vague Space, I suppose. Whoever they are.

    I’d second Camera Obscura and Bis, and Mitchell Museum are indeed good. But I’ve never listened to Teenage Fanclub, so I’m going to have to go and listen to them myself. So, this is great! Lots of bands, and we all learned something.

27, Scottish, likes the same things that everyone likes... design, movies, photography, comics, pretty people, pretty things, travel, retro-cool, and stuff that makes me laugh.

I maybe like Star Wars and Gillian Anderson a wee bit more than most though.
